About GDM
The Society of Didactics of Mathematics (Gesellschaft für Didaktik der Mathematik, GDM) is a scientific society pursuing the goal to foster mathematics education in particular in German-speaking countries. It seeks cooperation with the respective institutions in other countries.
We care for mathematics education at all ages and try to answer, among others, questions like: What can and what should students learn in mathematics? How can certain content or competences be taught? How can students attain a positive attitude toward mathematics?
Conference Spotlight
We are proud to announce that Germany will host ICME-13 at the University of Hamburg.
The annual meeting of the GDM 2012 takes place at the University of Education in Weingarten, Germany, from March, 5 to March, 9, 2012. More information is available at the conference homepage.
ICME-2012 will take place in Seoul from July 8 to 15, 2012.
